IDK & IDC
Why am I uneducated?
Why is it hard to see that I could have a degree?
Is it because my hair is too nappy or my pants are too saggy?
Or maybe it means that me getting a degree will get another black nigger off the streets?
The police can't shoot me, my neighbor can't shoot me, I'd be 'free behind a degree'
But we're never smart enough to realize the educated minds might be behind signs
that declare homelessness is the only way of life.
Look at me! Getting my degree!
Once I get my cap and gown and leave, I'll be truly free!
Why did I get my degree?
Where are the jobs everyone promised me?
Now that I got my degree, the only place I can work is MickyD's, getting my food off food stamps and EBT.
The problem with school is, no one tries to tell you the truth.
You ain't unique, you ain't free, you are just another one in a million with the same degree , trying to make ends meat.
If I knew the truth, I would have rathered been another nigger in the street.
Cause then I could fight for me, live for me, and die for me.
Why the fuck did I get a bullshit degree?
