Idle in the IV Drip

You were analytical, pragmatic, and I loved that. So much more than critical, and cynical, and I tripped up. I turned on the tap and you came, flowing flowing flowing, and I loved that; rushed and hushed, /creep closer sleep closer/ and idle in the IV drip stay with me as I start to slip.
