If Goldilocks was a Refugee

Once upon a time

In a land far away

lived a girl named Goldilocks

looking for a safe place to stay

she walked through deserts and forests

through rain and through snow

and decided that America is where she would go

she came across the vast, and victorious land

searching for nothing, but a simple helping hand

she soon came across a vacant looking home

she walked in and realized that she was alone

on the table inside sat three bowls of something icky

but the girl was awfully hungry and decided not to be picky

"the first one is just right," she thought after trying the food

now she just needed a bed so she could have a quick snooze

she saw three beds in the corner, all different sizes

so Goldilocks chose the one that she would fit in the nicest

while she was sleeping, all snug in the bed

the owners of the home walked in, and to her they said

"GO BACK TO WHERE YOU CAME FROM" in a very loud manner

the girl awoke with a panic to see what was the matter

but Goldilocks, being from another place

didn't speak great English, and didn't know what to say

with guns on their hips, the men waited for something to be said

but instead, Goldilocks just smiled and went back to bed
