If He Can She Can

Hair

Nails

Face

Boobs

Vagina

Define how we are

Mistaken for objects

For ages they think they can buy us

They think they can sell us

Mistaken for property

Nothing more than a fly

Irritating and getting in your way

We are like the salt in the water that we need

Unwanted

Hard the get rid of

That make your day drain

Getting in your way

They say

They complain

And we restrain what has been done

While they remain problem free

We are the napkin they clean their hands with

We are the mat they wipe their feet with

We are a trained pet

Trained since we were brought to this world

Taught to hand them the beer that was standing right next to them

Taught to serve, make, clean up after them

getting in trouble for sitting

They treat us like dirt

But want us to act like gold

Tell us what to wear, say, or do

Tells us not to be with a group of men alone

Cause if we do we are sluts

And an embarrassment to their family

They sit there doing nothing with their arms crossed and legs open

While

If we are lucky we sit

We sit there with our legs crossed

Cause it's inappropriate for us to sit with our legs open

We think it's okay

Cause even our mom tells us to do the same

How to break free

if are mothers are manipulated as well

They think it's their place

so we think the same

but what place

the place of a dog that does what you say

We are a puppet

Who follow the strings

We are weak

Unable to think

Useless without men

They say

They said

they say

and they keep repeating

We let them define us every day

But why

It's time for us to end this horrible habit

Cause if we don't no one will

For years the U.S. Brags about how great we are

And having equal protection

Yet we stand here being paid less for being a woman

Hearing the phrase "all men are equal"

Everyday

If this is equality

Then being abused is okay?

Absolutely not!

And if no one else see's this as wrong

Than everyday that we are living

Is a day filled with lies

.

So let's change this

If no one else is

Cause we are the ones being destroyed

not he but she

We are not what they say

We are what we say

We are a flower

So pure and delicate, yet strong

People constantly keep stepping on our beauty

Trying to destroy us

Yet we keep growing

I can no longer take it can you?

We are intelligent, amazing, interesting and much more

But we are most importantly

A person as well

So let's treat ourselves like one

And make everyone else treat us like one as well

We define who we are

Cause if he can she can!
