If he knew

she's heinous or beautiful.

a witch or a goddess.

but it doesn't matter, because she has something even more precious.

the one you fall for every time against all odds,

his smile and innocent laugh,

a joke meant to be a joke, but you want it to mean more.

she's impeccable in his eyes but all you can think of,

how much he would appreciate you if only he knew.

knew how devoted you are,

how much you defend him to others, pray for his happiness at night,

and his safety throughout the day.

you make sacrifices for him, and yet he wastes away,

eaten up by whatever innocent whore that walks his way.

if only he knew, your loyalty and strength,

everything you hold in and say to make his day brighter.

you just keep believing, that if he only knew,

he'd be yours.
