If I Change One Thing

If I could change one thing,

I would tell my self to turn around.

To not let him into my heart,

and not let us become best friends,

and not fall in love with someone who never loved me.

All the memories we shared, and yet

you walked away like i meant nothing to you.

Everything between us meant absolutley nothing.

How could you?

If i could change one thing,

it would be to never trust you with my heart.

You changed who I am forever,

and you are someone who I regret ever letting into my life

Sometimes that pain isn't worth it in the end.

Throughout life you are constantly told to fight for what you love,

but when you are fighting for what you love,

and what or who you love doesn't love you back,

you begin fightingh a losing war.

All that you do is never good enough,

You endure sleepless nights thinking,

How can I make him love me?

What else can I do?

If I could change one thing, I would have never let you into my life.

Someone who changed my life for the worse, but in truth, I wouldn't want to be any other kind of person than the one I am today.
