If I Could

If I could,

I'd replace my skin with stone

And pretend I never feel alone.

If I could,

I'd switch my fear for might

And convince myself I'll be alright.

If I could,

I'd trade my doubt for pride

And act as if I'm not weak inside.

If I could,

I'd swap my sloth for drive

And push myself to try and feel alive.

But even if I could,

I'd never change your love for hate

Because I'd be under a sky that's always grey.
