If I Could

It all started out when I was  quite small

And knew I wanted to be an actress.

For a while I was shy and reserved around all, 

But then opened up in my high school classes. 

I started out in my school's marching band

In the Colorguard, with no musical talent.

That was quickly corrected when I soon found

I could handle the flags with great balance

All four years in high school I have been in Colorguard

And even made my way to  Guard Captain,

Each season was new, but I soon found my way

With other bands we competed and flattened.

For a while I thought Colorguard was my life 

But then there was Theater class.

It was there I was able to express myself better

Not just with a flag and some brass.

Then on from there I broadened my life

With musicals, plays and home movies

My sister and I were two of a kind

Always comedies that made us look loony. 

I'd  now like to take my dreams drastically further

With college and then Hollywood

I want to bring my family laughs and good fame 

And become an actress if I could.
