If I could change

If I was special do you think they'd treat me the same?

I get called me a “beast”, but really I’m tame.

I get treated as if my feeling were a game.

If I was rich do you think that they'd treat me kindly?

I walk around stumbling blindly.

I want to walk unconfinedly.

If I was famous do you think they’d treat me different?

I’m tired of being treated like I’m insignificant

I’m tired of being called “dumb”, “daft”, or “illiterate”.

If I was handsome do you think they’d treat me with respect?

I see nice people but I never know what to expect.

I make one assumption but I’m always incorrect.

If I was smart do you think they’d treat me with a smile?

I get shot dirty looks as I’m shopping down the aisle.

I get sent to a social purgatory or exile.

If I was strong do you think they’d treat me triumphantly?

I’m sick of people and their puppetry.

I’m sick of waking up to fall down drunkenly.

If I was tall do you think they’d treat me good-heartedly

I feel like murdering to the first degree.

I feel like doing it lethargically.
