If I Could Give You Anything
To my godmother,
If I could give you anything I would love to give you back the way you made me feel. You kissed my boo boo's and put me to sleep. You have seen me smile and heard me weep. You have helped me cook and help me to learn. My nose in a book, your wisdom and concern. You were the first keep me in church and buy me a bible. First to let me drive and first to make me liable. You taught me hardwork and honesty. You taught me to love God and how to lead. You took me in when I had nowhere to go. You protected me from my foe. You know my family secrets and all of my disguise. You know my faults but you are still kind. I miss being with you. Singing to songs and swaying to beats. Running in the rain and being soaked to our feet. I would be lying if I said I did not love you to death. I love you so much because you are the best.
Love Always,
Your God Child
