If I could go back

I wish I would've known to appreciate you more

Not taking those times for granted

As you taught me many vaulable life lessons

I was too busy being distracted.

You taught me how me to love

And that family comes first

A great example now has passed.

In that moment I grew up

As I watched you take your last gasp.

From that moment on, I knew I was grown

Despite the age I was last.

Your love for me has helped me grow

Into the woman I'm becoming

I know you're right here next to me

Holding my hand as I go

I wish I would've have seen this coming

I would have never let you go.

If I could go back to when I was young

I'd prepare myself for that day

Little did I know, that day was when I became Grown.
