Read on a screen,

Screen of a computer,

Computer so bright and free.

 

Everything around us is influenced.

By social media.

By politics.

By emotions.

I’m influenced all the same,

By music.

By books.

By people.

By feelings.

 

And every day,

I wake up,

To read and read and read

Words upon a page,

Upon a screen,

Upon a wall.

It heightens my mind,

It changes my perspective,

It makes me happy

And my heart soars.
