If I Had a Dream

If I had a dream it would be to stop the violence every time a young man dies it's an awkward silence Martin Luther King had a dream and it was designed for us that one day our nation will rise it's preposterous the killings of our own people because our time is up we're constantly backstabbing our own people because in God we trust look what we as of people have been through most people couldn't even walk a mile in our shoes their was a time when we weren't allowed in certain schools but we neglect ourselves of an education like it is cool there was a time when we weren't allowed to use certain restrooms we were treated as if we were animals let us not forget where we come from we must stay united as one set aside our differences and put down them guns we shall overcome police brutality and senseless deaths Eric Garner who was a man making an honest living trying to sell his cigarettes but instead on live television he was choked to death when will we open our eyes and clean up this mess If I had a dream it would be that we can go back to policing our streets as if we were a family and stop the unjust throughout all of humanity including black on black crime let us hold hands together and bow in unity because it is time  If I Had a Dream
