If I Had Just One

If I had just one thought to share with a friend

It would be that our last year should never end.

I there was a way to keep life in one day

I would never sleep

And you would have never gone away.

If I had just one day to see you again

It wouldn't be the day we went out on a spin.

I would choose a day we were happy and loud,

running in circles, mom smiling proud.

Our feet wet and dirty

from pounding the ground.

We could chase the car out the driveway just one more time,

That would be enough to keep it all im my mind.
