If I Left Before Today

If I left before today,

I would have been lost.

I would have been dead inside.

If I had left before today,

I would have lost my mind

I would have died in life.

If I left before today,

I would have moved on

I would have left you in the past.

If I left before today,

I would have forgotten you

And not be lost in pain today.
