If I See
If I see a day, may I know the night
For in the darkness, you hold me tight
Carry on my sweetest soul
For tomorrow shall bring us closer still
And though,
I know, for night is nigh
There with you shall I lie
Sleep well-dearest soul
In my heart, you shall know
My love's truest devotion
I long for the night
When darkness embraces
I shall hold you tight too
We shall meet when my eyes close
Short be the day, long be the night
For tomorrow brings us closer still
Embraced all night, I sleep well
For in the day, I remember all
Carry on, my sweetest soul
