If I was black, I would proclaim my independence. I would affirm my uniqueness. I would constrain those who contain me, to one day be free. If I was black, I would not entertain them. To amuse them for the sake of amusement. And then blame all my ells on the one who abused me. And if caught in the act, who then could I blame. But the only black face, abased by my plans. If I was black, I would stand as a king being. A born again, lead man. Led by my own hand, regardless of one man. Think of these acts as we sit getting fat. How the world would be changed, if we stood strong being black. If I was a black, I would stand tall for my kin, protect not abuse them. Not turning my head, cause they ain't been where I been. Nor would I be ashamed of all that I am. I man of men, and a rock for the ages. A gift to the world to change and amaze in. If I was black, I would not act like the cat in the hat. With top hat in hand, and stripes on my back. For truly my friends, what is it to be black. A word for amusement. A color or fact. A name that is given and accepted when taught. So whatever you're called, let us be clear. That I am, as I am, with a vision in hand. A man with a mission, Gods word in my hand. A symbol of strength to all that I can.
