If I was Stranded on an Island

If I was on a deserted island,

There is only one thing I truly need,

Dr. Daniels, my beautiful mother

She knows just what to say, to make my day

My mother deserves beautiful flowers

Anything I need, she is on her way

When I give up, Mom inspires me to stay

A hardworking woman, teaching for hours

She know just what to say, to make my day

After recitals, mom buys me bouquets

Mom is a great cook, with food I devour

Anything I need, she is on her way

When I was little, my mother loved to play

Mom said “don’t be afraid; don’t cower”

She knows just what to say, to make my day

When I’m sad, Mom says it’ll be okay

If I feel down, Mom makes me feel empowered

Anything I need, she is on her way

My mom is my role model, my light ray

My mom taught me how to have power

She knows just what to say, to make my day

Anything I need, she is on her way

If I had to be on an deserted island,

I would not have it ny other way,

Then to have have my mother by my side

This poem is about:
Me
My family
