If I Were To

Tell me if I were to die right now

Could you tell me that you're proud?

That I never let you down

And if I'm worth it then how?

I tried hard to get here

They say "oh don't you worry dear"

But the pain just gets deeper

Look out here comes my reaper

If I were to go away

Drop off the Earth

Would you miss me?

Would you reminisce me?

If I were to die today

Would any of you say

You were glad to know me?

Even though I was a nobody

You have to work for love, that shit ain't free

There is no guarantee

You can have what you want in this life

Every possibility to be struck down with a knife

Walk away from the wreckage

I've got a lot of baggage

Don't try to hold me up

I'm not some sick pup

Tell me if I were to die right now

Could you tell me you're proud?

That I never let you down

And if I'm worth it then how?

If I shut you out

Will you be done for the count?

Are you going to stick around?

Even after all my pieces fall to the ground

Because I need a reason

Not just that I'm in season

I'm really not the type

To moan and gripe

Tell me if I were to go away

And check out of hotel Earth

Would you miss me?

Would reminisce me?

If I were to die today

Would any of you say

You were glad to know me?

Even though I was a nobody
