If I were

If I were yellow,

Would you still dance in the sun?

If I were green,

Would you step onto the grass?

If I were blue,

Would you still swim in the ocean?

If I were pink,

Would you smell beautiful flowers?

If I were red,

Would you blow a wish on a ladybug?

If I were black,

Would you scream, run, and hide?

Would you commit homicide?

But, if I were white,

You wouldn't have any spite, right?

So why are they like this?

Why do they hate us?

At least some do.

But look at the truth.

Like the tootsie roll commercial is known to say,

"The World may never know."
