If I Were Stuck On A Desert Island

If I were stuck on a desert island, what would I take?

Some people would bring materials, their property, or something they could make

I would bring my wit, since my intelligence is great

It is something that you cannot lose, something that cannot break

Bringing anything else would be a fatal mistake

Since my wit could help me survive and not leave me ache

It would carry me through hard times and keep me awake

Since sleeping on a desert island would mean certain death

Surviving means being able to take another breath.
