If It Were Easy
“If it were easy, anybody could do it.”
These words I heard over and over again during my four years participating in the world renowned Universty of Wisconsin Marching Band.
These words have an eternal influence on a distinct approach to life and embracing challenge.
These words provided inspiration while completing exhuasting repetitions in conditions of oppressive heat, drenching rain, and numbing cold.
These words imply physically strenuous participation and intense commiment but also an exceptional reward and life altering experience.
These words made history, performing in an unprecendented three consecutive Rose Bowls.
These words filled with camaraderie, perseverance, exhilaration, and dedication have rendered me a far better person and leave me infinitely proud.
Most importantly, these words have taught me to embrace life with passion and intensity and to view myself as nothing less than flawless.
