If life was meant to be lived Why do we push it away Countless moments are being taken for granted We sadly allow some people to lead us astray We as people need to wake up We must be able to realize That life is a gift that has already been given Take matters to the heart and start living

This is my description of myself and my poetry. My name is Brooklyn Six aka The Brooklyn Six Project. I was born on Monday, August 26th 1974 in New York City. I graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School in June 1992. I served in the United States Navy for nine years. While in the Navy I have lived in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Portland Or, and Seattle. I currently live in Lynnwood, Washington about twenty miles north of downtown Seattle. Poetry is my written medication whenever I feel stressed about something. All of my poems are about life, love, happiness, sadness, triumph, and tragedy. Hopefully, i will be able to captivate others with my poetry. Take care everyone.
