If Life Were a Dream

If life were a dream,

I'd dream of you.

Your laugh, your smile,

And the smell of your shampoo.

If life were a dream,

I'd be beside you.

I'd feel the warmth of joy that you bring,

And hear the songs that you sing.

If life were a dream,

You would rescue me.

I would lay in your arms,

And you'd carry me away.

If life were a dream,

I would die for you.

Because I can't spend a day,

Without thinking of you.

If life were a dream,

I'd dream of you.

You bring out the best in me,

And I like me best when I'm near you.
