If Love isn't happy, it isn't love

Love is so easy to misunderstand

Love's not about lust, least not quite so young

Love now's about happily holding your hand

Love's not about sitting alone feeling hung

Because I love you, I'll tell you so

But putting on pressure would be wrong of me

It may be important to let you know

But when strings are attached, that love's incomplete

If Love isn't happy, it isn't love

Love isn't selfish, it's all to be shared

Not to say that it won't ever be rough

Rather that's when you'll know if you ever cared

All things come with trials, even romance

But love means you'll be there through thick and thin

And I speak as one who took a chance

True love means nobody tries to win
