If Love was English Class

It may be raining outside,

But your sunshine lights the world,

Clearing confusion, and adding sense

That doesn’t make sense

To anyone else.

Your eyes are blue,

Like the water in the lake,

So clearly reflecting

How you feel about me.

Your name rings so loudly in my heart

That I can hardly hear

People telling me that

I’m simply not enough,

Yet it whispers in my ear,

“I love you.”

Your words are like the music

You sing to me each day,

Telling me that tomorrow

You’ll love me even more.

Loving is a verb,

And also is a noun,

So if love was English class,

You’d be the best teacher.
