If Man Were Left Alone

They were like men dreaming.

A black pool of unnatural animals,

A little hole made for them where

Blade touched bone; a drilling force.

This is a real feature that raises

Up from the ruins of their disbelief,

Their own voluntary control.

They hide from gaze in

The dark places in his brain.

But the sun shall still rise

And the hill shall still run.

Will you bring me back down to earth?
