If One Day I Were Cast Away

If one day I were cast away

To a lonely desert isle

To my dismay, what I would say:

I could spend forever and a day

and tell you of my trial.

Of course, I would miss a real array

Reflecting on my life:

Claude Debussy and Cabernet.

But if I must bray, on the life of a castaway

I can do so without strife.

Because my love is my quintessence

Engulfing me till I overflow.

You are my luminescence

My weakness: your evanescence

On this barren isle Plateau.
