If Only

If only you knew

How much it hurt

How much the scars still ache

How long it took for the

Bruises to leave

Why would you

Tell me you are sorry

Make believe you still care

Make the past come back

Just to haunt the living

Bruise after bruise

Saying it's my fault

Every connection you made

With my skin left a mark

Another teardrop fell

Now paying the price

For every mark you left

Covering up my marks

To save the time you caused

To seem worthless
