If Only

There is a beach. One where there are footprints in the sand from the past where we once walked. The footprints where we walked away from problems and hid from the storms because they to strong to bear. The footprints that the water doesn't go far out enough to touch so they never disappear and you always see the past once traveled. Every storm with strong waves crashing violently into rocks that send water flying in every direction yet those footprints remain and its quite a mystery. The water so cold and strong and burns your eyes so you stay clear. What soul would dare go face it? Would it be worth it? And everytime you walk to face it or walk away there will always be footprints in the sand on the lonely beach of what you once did. If only the water could erase. If only we could rewrite. If only...
