If Only

Location

It was a dark night

With only one dim street light

Driving down the dirt road

That December night, it snowed

I pulled into the driveway, with my heart in my hand

But little did I know, this night wouldn’t turn out as planned

The devil himself told me we’d work it out

I should of known that wasn’t want he was talking about

When I arrived there wasn’t a sound

I knocked on the door with one single pound

He came, with a demon glare in his eyes

But my love for him put up a disguise

If only I knew what I know now then

If only I could do it all over again

I’d turn around, and disappear

Instead I am consumed with this lifetime fear
