If Only
Before she realized
the light was gone
the air turned cold
her life was done
faster than light
it turned to night
without a sight
caused her to fright
Darkness fell upon her spirit
all senses lost she could barely hear it
all was lost or so she thought
the pain's taking over or is it not?
If only she thought
before her heart hopped
if only she thought
the car would have stopped
if only she thought
before the end
if only she thought
before she drank with her friend
