If Only

Not a thing in this world can change it. It's like asking the flower why it blooms, Or the sun why it shines. My feelings won't change, Unyielding like the wind. I tried to fight it. We only talk, granted for hours and hours. He told me he loved in his careless way. I didn't believe him despite my own feelings. I tried to walk away but deep down, I thought that if I stayed he would become sincere. I was wrong. Always wrong. He brushed me off like sand on his feet, As soon as something better came along. Then I met you and it felt just like before. We clicked and meshed like rain and a flower. But I was love shy and couldn't forget. We could be happy, I just know it. But I can't change how I feel. If only...If only.. If I had only met you first.
