If Only

I walk upon a road all weak and weary

Searching for a world that I can read clearly

My breath is slow and my heartbeat is weak,

If only, if only, my love is with me.

Death is on my shoulders and Life is trampled by my feet.

As I take a breath, darkness and smog engulfs into me.

Life is too short for stupid games, Death is too long for the truth.

I walk upon a broken bridge, crossing over the abuse underneath.

Creak

Creak

Creak

I step yet again.

Searching for a world that I can read clearly.

If only, if only, I can find a path worth leading.

I walk upon a path the lures me into a tunnel.

There is no light.

There is no darkness.

I have no way of knowing what trickery lies within.

If only, if only, I can find someone to lay down with.

If only, if only my love was with me.
