If only I could learn something new

I was a math whiz, a geek,

A number cruncher it's true,

I always wanted to learn more,

to learn something new

You're speaking Greek in Calculus,

What's even going on?

Half of the class doesn't know,

Into space they have gone.

Quizzes with 7 questions,

A grade dropped with every X

A tangent gone off every minute

And please, your illegible text.

I have respect for teachers

but only by title for you

I have love for my favorite subject

If only I could learn something new
