If only I knew....

If only I knew that day was near

That day you would whisper those golden words

If only I knew that time was close

When we would come together in complete happiness

If only I knew that moment was coming

When the gods themselves accepted our words

If only I knew that a couple drink were too much

When my eyes were glazed and our mouths touched

If only I knew that I would lose you

I would have never gotten behind the wheel.
