If scars didn't exist

First off, let me just say

You can't always have it your way.

Only one arm to do everyday things

Either holding her arm or wearing a sling

All the memories persists

Man, if scars didn't exist

My mother never complains

like everything is all the same

I wish I could take away the pain

If scars didn't exist

Easter Sunday of 2006

will be a day I never miss

When that stranger, who we still don't know

almost put my mother on death row

As we waited two months for her to awake from pain

I knew things, would never be the same

If scars didn't exist

I was only eleven back then

Didn't know what was happening but I had to pretend

Even though we flipped seven times

I knew my mother would be just fine

I was filled with much alert

I didn't know she would be this hurt

If scars didn't exist

Everyday I wish I could heal the pain

and make her feel the same

Give her back her left arm to use everyday

then everything would array

If only, if only...scars didn't exist...
