If Tomorrow Wasn't Promised

If you knew today would become your last, The final leaf of fall to drift from the tree, Would you think back to a time in your past? Would you let go and let yourself be free? Perhaps you would ponder your legacy. What could you leave for the ones left behind? Did you achieve something honorably? Did you do something others would think kind? I will be seeing you in the mirror, As you reflect on whom you have become. The pathway to your soul getting clearer. Your heart beating evenly like a drum. The last chapters of your life come to close, Rest easy and forget all of your woes.
