If you can reach one...

And as my eyes fill to the rim

desperate to be relieved,

my world is blurred

For that moment, all thoughts fell from my mind one question remained

Silence

I made my decision.

With that, I blink

The salted water is soaked into the page

And I am ingrained into my work

Stone faced, full minded

I continue

my tears now being a sign of strength

My fingers gliding across the pages like stitches sewing my opened heart

Opened by forced entry

Once worn on my sleeve, now one with my mind

What is a message if not shared?

A big risk

but as the saying goes

If you can reach one..

Plagiarism is when someone steals your ideas or works and claims them as their own. This is something I’ve been victim to. What comes from my mind was formed by time and experience. Have you ever shared a lesson of your life to someone and find them being appreciated by others for being “deep” or “smart” for saying these same things? There were times I became so bitter, I no longer wished to share with anyone. “They can figure it out themselves.” Overtime I realized what was more important to me. Yes, there’s always the possibility of being ripped off by the same people you spent so much energy on but just as the saying goes “if you can reach one..” in this case, this person could continue living because of my words. They could help others. If I can influence at least one person, I can change that much more of the world. This made it worth it to me. I continue to share my philosophies on life to those I feel would appreciate it. I continue to try my best to use the power of words to heal those I am able to.
