If You Could Go Back

If you could go back -
for just one day,
what would you do -
and what would you say?

Would you do something you’ve never done -
like spending all of your money?
Or maybe would you take a chance -
by doing something really funny?

I think that if I had the chance
I would try to make amends
with all of the people that I lost -
the people who were once my friends.

I would try to find the people I love
who were taken up by Death.
I would make sure to say goodbye
before they give their final breath.

After that, I would be content -
and ready to move on.
As long as I could say goodbye
to all those that are gone.
