If You Look Back Far Enough

If you look back far enough

Out the rearview mirror

Through the forest gruff

Intentions seem insincere

Out the rearview mirror

Through the window behind you

Intentions seem insincere

Every emotion is misconstrued

Through the window behind you

On the road you can’t escape

Every emotion is misconstrued

On the changing landscape

On the road you can’t escape

It’s hard to remember things as they were

On the changing landscape

It’s so easy to be deterred

It’s hard to remember things as they were

Through the forest gruff

It’s so easy to be deterred

If you look back far enough
