If You Love Me, You'll Kill Me

Buy me a rope necklace and tie it on tight Kick over the stool to make it all right Keep the door open so everyone can see Death was all I could ever amount to be Take my face and pinch it into a smile Though it'll still droop down in a small while Open the window so I can feel the breeze Push down the shutter while I'm still saying cheese Hand out the letters I prepared before I left Remember the handful of people who wept Tell my parents not to cry or despair Lie and say I'm in a better place elsewhere Go home and try not to think of me Fail and remember how we used to be Convince yourself what we did was for the best Now our love will face the ultimate test Try not to delve in too deep Too late, tears slide down your cheeks Break the promise you made when I was alive Off to my new home you drive Fiercely determined to share my fate You desperately climb over the locked gate Forcing yourself to stay brave Search blindly in the dark for my grave Stumble upon loosely packed dirt Dig with your fingers although they hurt Continue even when the ground pries off your nails The pain feels good so you don't care Upon touching the wood you start to grin Eager to erase your evil sin Gingerly, carefully lift up the top The stench of death arises but you don't stop Lay yourself next to me on the floor Settle yourself in and shut the door Whisper sweet nothings into my ear Your breath smells very faintly of beer Wrap your arms tightly around me Slowly the cold starts to leave my body Wipe off my makeup with your tongue Sing me songs from when we were young Strive to stay happy but of course you crack Beg and demand for me to come back Air runs out while you lament my death Bring me to life with your last breath
