Ignorance
Why do they ignore me
Am I a hairy monster
That enjoys being in the corner of the room
Reads books for fun
Hoping to be noticed by someone
Or even something
Am I a giant
That is made fun of
For being so tall
Having a soft and quiet voice
Am I random human being
That was born to be a mistake
To ruin everyone’s day
By just stepping in the same room as you
If I am none of those things
Then tell me what I am
And tell me the truth because I know that if you do
You will continue to ignore me
Or even worse
Glare at me without me knowing
I just want to be fixed!

Hey everyone. Poet and author here. To begin with, my name AM is meant to signify the many mornings I spent on writing my books. In addition, AM is also a name that a friend and I made up for fun when talking about my fictional character crushes (many have been there, am I right?). AM also protects my identity mainly because I can post work without anyone knowing who it is about or why did I write it. In addition, I also post poems on my Instagram account @poemsby_am.
