Ignorance Is Bliss

When i was young

ignorance was bliss

i didnt know why the adults were so high strung.

i didnt see body type or skin color i was just worried about my first kiss

the biggest thing i had to be scared of was the dark

then i learned and relized that the world was scary

the contrast was stark

terrorist, killers, racisim the news always stated it so boldy

ah, ignorance was bliss

now i have to live a life in fear

without letting anyone know anything is amiss

global warming, nuclear desruction at the press of a button, life is now blear

at least now im educated i guess

life is just a game of chess

ill tell all the youth, ignorance is bliss
