Ignorance Is Bliss

Living in this "free country" is not what it's hyped up to be.

If you don't have mad cream, then it's hard to live this seemingly unreachable "American Dream."

Although all your dreams can be achieved,

Have you ever felt or noticed that certain opportunities are only obtainable by how you're perceived?

It feels like the rich class is inebriated with power and becoming more opulent.

While in the middle and lower class, money seems to be alleviated.

And since and power is what we're all fighting for,

then there seems to never be a stop to this madness that WE created.

You see we're fighting each other when we could be fighting together,

but we're blinded by the darkness and we're fighting forever.

I guess ignorance truly is bliss.

And we might as well reminisce on the good times we had together

because they're never coming back.

Let's give it a kiss... goodbye.

Poetry is my everything. Forget music, if I didn't have poetry, I could not live in this world. People think that I am all about basketball, football and the piano, but they don't know that I truly love poetry more than all of those. Poetry is also a way to vent my pain because of my past and current life. I love to express all of my feelings and try to make the reader empathize my emotions. I want my audience to hurt with me, cry with me, laugh with me and whatever else I write about. My poems will touch everyone around the world no matter their past.
