Ignored
Everybody seems to see right through me
anything I ever do
is just for their benefit
because me, I always receive the deficit.
That may be why
I hide up in my little shell
with me, myself and I
not much to tell.
I sit in the dark, yet still in the light
nothing to tell time
besides my sight.
Sights can be deceiving, this is true
but their sight ignores me and you.
We are like little pawns on the big board,
everyone gets a move
but us
to be ignored.
Although we aren't seen
and sometimes it feels like a dream
we front up a smile
only to be exiled.
Until we're needed
is when we're called
only to do deeds for all.
