I'll Always Be There
A young boy first crawling,
Began a path.
As he paved his road,
He was heard to say:
Lonely is my way!
Comfort came instantaneously,
My Son I'll always be there.
A young girl came toddling,
She began her path.
As progress was made,
She was heard to say,
How lonely is my way!
Comfort came in its peaceful warmth,
My Daughter I'll always be there.
A young man continued his rocky way,
He walked proud and free.
As he struggled along he was heard to say,
How hard is my way!
Comfort made his heart grow strong,
My Son I'll always be there.
A young woman went along her awkward path,
Full of grace and dignity.
As she pressed forward strong she was heard to say,
How difficult is my way!
Comfort came loud and clear,
My Daughter, I'll always be there.
A full grown man kept to his path,
He walked with hope and joy.
As he continued on his journey,
He was heard to say,
How sorrowful is my way!
At once comfort filled his soul,
My Son, I'll always be there.
A full grown woman strode purposefully on,
She walked with beauty and love.
As she steadily paved a road of her own,
She was heard to say,
How painful is my way!
Comfort immediately lifted her spirit,
My Daughter I'll always be there.
As man and women moved onward and upward,
They were joined heart and hand.
They twined their roads,
They worked together,
And they were heard to say,
Because of His presence,
How easy is our way.
The gentle comfort came yet again,
My children, I'll always be there.
