I'll Be Here

When nothing's the way it should be

You can always come to me

Where there's a shoulder for your tears

and a comfort to all your unspoken fears.

I'll search everywhere,

even in the cupboards so bare

to find what it is you need

and pray that time does not speed.

I'll give you the world

Wrapped in a giant red bow

So that your wings may become unfurled

and that you may fly, wherever it is you want to go.

When the world comes crashing down

I'll be here, to help you stand your ground.
