I'll Be Here

I know listening is just as important as speaking

What make you mad, what you value, what makes you happy

I'm not perfect but I try my best because I love you.

Sometimes things are hard, and people need space

Time to think, to get back on track

I need space too

But I'll be there when you need me

To hold you, or talk to you

support you, listen to you, help you in any way I can

You are my best friend, my partner in crime

I know, whatever it is, we can get through it

So I will wait until you are ready

Until you feel comfortable opening up to me

With a container of your favorite chocolate ice cream
