I’ll Believe in Anything

There you sit on your heaps of gold Chin held high, and not being told How the country you claim, once a great nation Is in shambles, tears, and in need of much fixing Drink the cool aid they say, it tastes mighty good But once you sip comes a black shielded hood Instead of seeing the things that need fixing You see ways to judge others for their living Gay, straight, trans or bi We all deserve sunshine and the opportunity to try So as you sit on your piles of gems And gaze at the people in toils and tends Remember that you are not the only one And we all deserve sunshine and all get to love.
